My job title is Consultant in Pain Management. I am based at Derriford Hospital Plymouth.

I am experienced in all aspects of pain management and have published on pain management programmes. I have particular expertise in both chronic pain and complex regional pain syndromes and I am a recognised national expert in intrathecal drug delivery.I have been a member of national bodies drawing up treatment guidelines.I lecture on pain issues nationally and internationally

I write about 30 to 40 reports per year and have appeared in court twice and on both occasions I was commended by the judge for my clarity and quality of evidence.
