Experience:
Professor Adam Zeman trained in Medicine at Oxford University Medical School, with general medical training in Oxford, Bath, London and Sheffield, and neurological posts in Oxford, The National Hospital for Neurology in Queen Square, London, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. He was appointed Consultant Neurologist and Senior Lecturer in Edinburgh in 1996, moving to the chair of cognitive and behavioural neurology at the Peninsula Medical School in September 2005. His specialised clinical work and research are in cognitive and behavioural neurology, including neurological disorders of sleep. He has an active background interest in the science and philosophy of consciousness. He has written widely in these areas, with over 100 publications. He is Chairman of the British Neuropsychiatry Association from 2007-2009.
He has undertaken medicolegal work since 1997, principally in cases involving brain injury. In Edinburgh he prepared around 1 report/week. In Exeter he currently writes around 2 reports/month.
He is willing to see clients anywhere in the UK (generally at weekends). His consulting rooms are in Exeter.
