Angelica has 25 years experience as a practising clinical psychologist and 5 years experience of preparing personal injury reports. She prepares approximately 80 reports per year. Her instructions are approximately 60% claimant,30%joint and 10%defendent.
She has a broad base of clinical and medicolegal experience in PTSD,Travel Anxiety,Depression,Pain,Adjustment Disorders,Work Stress,Psychological Reactions to Clinical Negligence and various other forms of personal injury.
She qualified in 1984 as a Clinical Psychologist and worked in Senior Grade General Psychiatric positions at Ealing and St Annes NHS hospitals in London in Adult and Adolescent in and outpatient units.She then worked in a USA Psychiatric Unit in Northern California from 2000 where she specialised in PTSD treatment work and ran individual and group treatment programmes for victims of gun and knife crime and for sexual abuse victims. She was also a team member of a multidisciplinary Mental Health Court in California working closely with judges,lawyers,probation officers to determine the helpfulness of clinical treatment approaches with individual prisoners.
Angelica returned to a Senior Grade position at Southmead Rheumatology Unit in Bristol,UK in 2004 where she focused upon the development of psychological therapy approaches for chronic pain patients.She became registered as a British Psychological Society Specialist in Psychotherapy in 2006 and qualified as an EMDR practitioner in 2007.
Angelica currently runs a full time private psychotherapy and medicolegal practice at Litfield House Medical Centre, Bristol.
She is a member of the UK register of Expert Witnesses and on the BPS Expert Witness Database.
