Ingram Wright is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Head of Neuropsychology at North Bristol NHS Trust. He has 14 years experience as a psychologist working in clinical neuropsychology His current work involves management of neuropsychological service spanning adult and paediatric services with input into neurology, neuropsychiatry and neurosurgery and rehabilitation specialties. His NHS work involves acute services for children with acquired brain injury training, and specific input into the paediatric epilepsy surgery programme.
Ingram has maintained an interest in clinical and research aspects of paediatric neuropsychology since completing his first degree at Cambridge University in 1992. He has subsequently undertaken a PhD and has supervised PhDs in child neuropsychology. He has also undertaken a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with training including both clinical experience and research in paediatric neuropsychology. After finishing clinical training Ingram worked for 2 years in a specialist paediatric neuropsychology service at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, providing a specialist neuropsychological assessment service to children with epilepsy and other developmental and acquired neurological problems.
Previously a Clinical Lecturer, he was engaged in research, clinical practice and supervision in the area of paediatric neuropsychology and continues this work as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Bristol University. He has published papers, secured a number of grants and currently offers specialist supervision and training to doctoral students, research assistants, clinical trainees and qualified clinical psychologists.
