Dr Neal has 17 years experience in civil litigation and personal injury. He prepares about 150 reports per year and has regularly given evidence in court. The distribution of his instructions is approximately 50% defence, 40% claimant and 10% joint. He has clinical and medico-legal experience in PTSD, Travel Anxiety, Depression, Pain Disorders, CRPS-1, Fibromyalgia, Somatoform Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, Work Stress, Alcohol Abuse, Drug Abuse and Minor Head Injuries, Post Concussion Syndrome, Organic Personality Disorders and Aviation Psychiatry. He gives evidence on capacity to litigate.
Dr Neal qualified in medicine in 1981. He initially trained and worked as a General Practitioner in the RAF. He began training as a psychiatrist in 1988 and became a Consultant in 1994. His qualifications include: MD (Doctor of Medicine), MB BCh (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery), FRCPsych (Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists), MRCGP (Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners),DRCOG (Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists)and Cert Av Med (Certificate of Aviation Medicine).
